Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, located near Kanab, Utah, offers a striking landscape defined by its unique coral-colored sand dunes. Formed over thousands of years through the erosion of Navajo sandstone, this 3,730-acre area stands as a distinct geological feature on the Colorado Plateau. The park is open to the public year-round, allowing visitors to experience the desert environment in any season, though spring, early summer, and fall are particularly popular due to milder temperatures.

Visitors can explore the dunes via a network of trails, with approximately 90 percent of the area accessible for off-highway vehicles. The park is also home to the coral pink sand dunes tiger beetle, a unique species found in no other location in the world. Hikers can traverse the terrain, navigating through juniper and pine trees that dot the landscape, while others may choose to rent sandboards for a more adventurous experience.

The park is accessible seven days a week, with daily use fees applicable for entry. A valid Utah State Parks pass is also accepted for admission. Visitors are encouraged to stay on designated trails to protect the fragile ecosystem, and pets must be kept on a six-foot leash at all times. The elevation of 6,000 feet provides a refreshing change from lower desert areas, making it an ideal destination for those seeking both adventure and natural beauty in southern Utah.
