Located in Blanding, Utah, the Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum offers a unique window into the region’s deep cultural history. This 16-acre site serves as both a historical landmark and an educational center, housing a significant collection of artifacts from the Ancestral Puebloan, Navajo, and Ute cultures. The museum’s interior features rotating exhibits that highlight local artistry, including pottery and tools, alongside interactive displays that allow visitors to engage more deeply with the historical data.

Adjacent to the museum building is the Edge of the Cedars Pueblo, an archaeological site that provides a tangible connection to the past. This area preserves the ruins of a village that was inhabited between 825 and 1125 CE, offering a glimpse into the architectural styles of the Chacoan era. Visitors can explore the structure, which includes a great house and a kiva that visitors can enter by ladder, providing a tangible link to the ancient communities that once thrived here.

The site is open year-round, with the visitor center operating from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The park provides a peaceful environment for learning about the complex history of the Four Corners region. The name "Edge of the Cedars" reflects the site’s location on the boundary between forested areas and open plains, a natural boundary that has shaped the landscape for centuries. This location offers a quiet, reflective space for travelers to connect with the rich cultural heritage of the area.
